Printer Troubleshooting Does the printer have paper in it? If not, put a full roll of paper in it. Will the printer feed paper? If it will not feed paper, most likely it has no power. Is the power switch turned on? If not, turn it on. The switch will be found on any of the 4 sides, depending on the printer brand. Is the printer power cord plugged into the back of the printer? If not, plug it in. Follow the cord from the back of the printer to the AC adapter. Make sure the power cord firmly plugged into the AC Adapter? This must be physically checked, it may look plugged in but may not be. ACTUALLY pick it up, unplug it and with both hands firmly plug it ALL the way back in. From there follow the cord to power cord from the printer wall socket. Make sure it is completely plugged in. If not, plug it into the wall socket. If it is plugged in Plug something else into the wall socket to make sure the socket has power. If the wall socket does not have power. Check to see if the socket is a Ground Fault Outlet. If it is, press the Reset button on the outlet making sure it is has not been tripped. If it has not been tripped, check the breaker panel and make sure the breaker that feeds that outlet has not been tripped. If the breaker has not been tripped. Plug the printer into another outlet that has power.
